1972 Chevrolet
Ground up resto, we are trying to get an idea of what we can get for it....
We did frame off resto from 2000-2002, took everything and i mean everything off of the frame, powdercoated the frame, and all of the suspension etc. than we did all of the work below...

It is basically a brand new truck with the exception of most of the body panels, they were in great shape....

Engine and train:
21 gallon blazer tank
355 built to around 387 hp.
Stage II Vortec Heads
.518 comp cam
Custom Mandrel Bent 3" Exhaust with flowmaster 40's
custom aluminum drive shaft.
12 bolt 3.73 posi

Exterior:
All of the panels are original w/ exception of tailgate.
$8,500 Torch Red Paint
Progressive wheels with BF Goodrich tires
Shaved Emblems.
New outer and inner grilles
New front and rear bumpers
New Tailgate
New Glass all around...
New everything, handles, locks, side markers, etc.

Interior
Custom Rod Doors Door panels and kick panels.
New Lincoln Towncar Seats w/8 way power.
New Carpet, sun visors, dash pad etc.

Bed:
Relocated gas filler
WEATHER PROOF Carpeted Bed.

Suspension:
5.5/4 in. Drop via Early Classic
Front: 2.5 drop spindles, 3 in. coils
Rear: 4 in. drop springs

It is a beautiful truck. I would hate to put a price on it. But one thing I have learned is, you rarely get back what you have put into a restoration :(

i'd guess about 13-15K....

The most I have seen one of these trucks sell for was $22,000. It was a totally stock 72 big block, swb fleetside, all options, frame of restoration with ralley wheels. The only mods were lowering springs. Once you deviate from stock, it seems, no matter how much you put into it, the price goes down. There are always exceptions to this rule..."it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it!" Don't sell it...drive it and enjoy it! If you win some trophys with it or get it on a magazine cover the price will go up. Good Luck...and nice truck!

the most I ever seen one go for was down in charlotte for 38,500. the guy said it sold within hours. I was like holy crap!

really the question to ask is how much you want for it. we all know that it one pretty truck though! Lots of time to restore like that.

Add up all of your receipts and cut that amount in half. Depressing isn't it? I'm in the same boat - I wish I had never taken the time to add things up.

really half?!? I was stupid back in highschool I got really depressed about my father passing, and everytime I seen the truck I wanted to just fall over. so I put it in the paper for 3500. not one person called, o.k. one person did-he said 1000 bucks! hahaha, that is how much I got it for. well the total investment on it is about 13k or so.
same story on my corvette. bought it for 8950, put about another 7k into it. had all reciepts. I sold it for 5k 2 months ago. After these experiences I have learned my next resto after finishing my truck is going to get someone elses somewhat finished project for a deal, and not get so very, very, veeery invested in it.

I bought mine truck finished for the most part. Someone took a beating. Changed a few things for that personal touch. Dont think i'd like to put the time or money in doin a resto.

To the OP I would keep it as the value will surely rise. Ive always thought of these trucks as money in the bank.

Another thing you might like to try is putting it on Ebay w/ a hefty reserve, may give a idea what someones willing to pay.

I'm not sure what you could get out of it, but it is a beautiful truck.

With killer photos and all the details laid out, you might get a nice price on ebay. There are some high rollers that surf ebay and snag some killer rides on there. At the stage you are at you will have to appeal to the guy with the money in the bank looking for a worry free and NO headace rebuilt classic. Generally this must be a car or truck better than new and be convincing with this... just my .02

I don't know, the highest price asked for my ride was around 8k even though it wasn't close to restoration.
I'll post up some pics of my ride for you to envy later on.

BTW: nice ride, the only I dislike are the progressive, I heard they went out of business a while back, must suck to find caps for those suckers. You should of went with some some stock rally wheels for the wheel combination.

IMO, I think the ralley wheels just make a truck look so so, kind of like "the cheap way out."

I know alot of you here like the rallies, so i am not trying to start a debate, I just don't like them.... and would definately not put them on my truck.
