What y'all think...

Ok guys what do y'all think about this one. The man that built it made some changes that weren't correct for a 68. He prefered certain refinements that he thought made it better. See if you can spot the changes.....

68 chevy
The man builds a lot of these trucks. He does all of it but the paint and body. He said he had to finish this one, after a couple of bodymen. I met him last year. He had a dark green and white one he sold last year for about 16000.00 at the good guys. The 68 had original rockers, cab corners and it was the original color code. The sticker was on the glove box. I think it said fawn. You could hardly read it.
He put a 73 up disc set up on it, from the master cylinder down. He sold it saturday for 17500.00. He just finished it and it had zero miles on it. He said he sales one at Good Guys every year. |
That sure is sweet.
|
Stock or not it is a sweet ride.

Steve you busted my bubble when you said it sold. :( I talked with him quit a bit too. He once worked at GM and does this to keep busy.
You guys pretty much nailed all the changes. It's a 68 with the original cab/chassis/bed combo. The rockers and cab corners are original too. Steve is correct that is was a factory color called fawn, but I didn't get the code. It was a rock solid truck that started with a bump of the key and the a/c blew ice cold. What a sweet truck.... |
