Spotted this at the local Wal-mart. Thought I would share. Looks to be a converted Blazer. Not to bad, paint/body work could have been better.

Wow, looks really short - doesn't it?

Almost wrong somehow... :thud:

71swb4x4 06-16-2005 08:27 AM

The rear upper trim looks about an inch short. Truck looks decent though, sure could have been worse.

donkey69 06-16-2005 02:02 PM

Now lets see a pickup converted to a Blazer! :bowtie: ........Gee Emm? :)

Alexis 06-16-2005 02:19 PM

I think it's cool. Reminds me of the earlier land rovers.

tnblazerk5 06-16-2005 02:24 PM

theres a few of those runnin around here, none of which look as good as that one though

newin72 06-16-2005 02:58 PM

I think it looks sweet! :bling:

Huskerboy2 06-16-2005 03:36 PM

Wow. (Awkward moment of silence as I stare at the ground, unable to look the owner in the eye when he asks me what I think about his Trazer)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you want a truck, go get yourself a truck. If you want a Blazer, go get yourself a Blazer. No need to go against nature and butcher something.

CHEVYE 06-16-2005 04:27 PM

i like the shortness, it's kinda has a jeep look to it. it sure would look silly if it was 2wd though.

Oh, I wouldn't say silly... the half cabs look much the same and I wouldn't turn down either one of these 2wd's, Rg

CHEVYE 06-16-2005 05:10 PM

i think those look goofy in 2wd, but that's only my opinion... i would definitely put one in my garage though. :)

saulgoode 06-16-2005 05:52 PM

I think the 2 posted by raggedjim have the removable cab option, I say that because the lip around the windows seems wider than a truck. The one posted by Zumo is definitely a conversion; I just don't know why people do the permanent conversion. But they can do what ever they want to their trucks.

The orange one is slammed via photoshop.

The beauty of a blazer is the top comes off, full or half top.

jamie72 06-16-2005 09:54 PM

well i kinda like it, got to admire the guys work..

I'll agree with that. It looks nice!

71RestoRod 06-16-2005 11:36 PM

You never know what it started as... he might have saved it from the grave. (of course, some would prefer death with dignity) Maybe the windshield frame was too far gone on a trashed blazer and all but the roof of a pickup… It could happen... OK well maybe not. Kind'a Frankensteinian. I know of one in my area that looks really sweet... ’67 front clip, but it's not a two tone. I think the extra trim sort of fouls up the look in this case.

FRENCHBLUE72 06-19-2005 11:38 AM

Its is one of the better ones I have seen but the trim just don't look right but I would still take it .... And then I would cut the top back off..

I ran into this converted Trazer several years ago in the Smokies. It looked to me to have been a shortbed pickup put on a Blazer frame as it still had the rear part of the cab below the rear window behind the front seats. I wish I had taken some interior shots.

I kinda like the Trazer in the first post. I wouldn't have done a Blazer that way but it looks kind of neat just the same.

bouncytruck 06-19-2005 10:04 PM

Are you sure it wasn't the bulk head for a half top?

LUV2XCLR8 06-19-2005 10:39 PM

 But Kinda :c2:

No I'm not 100% sure - it's been SEVERAL years ago (probably 15+).

crzngmychvy 07-09-2005 03:20 PM

converted ebay jimmy

I saw this other one too, not coverted but real cool.

in case you missed it

bouncytruck 07-09-2005 03:59 PM

this is the third time the black off-roader has been listed. It looks like it would be a lot of fun!

special-K 07-09-2005 04:10 PM

I think Zumo is pulling our leg. That`s a photoshop, nice job btw.It is right? No?Oh,well I like it anyway.I never here anybody b...itchin`bout the Suburbans gettin`all chopped-up to make crew cabs.I always wanted to do a Trazer(why not Bluck or Blickup?)for snow-plowing back in the day, short`n`nimble, great heat`n`defrost, and if you mount a spreader the whole thing with plow would fit in a parking spot.
