Decked .040, Steel 375 fuelie crank, Forged 11 to 1 pistons, H beam rods, Topped with Dart Iron eagle heads 202/160 comp. mag pushrods and crane roller rockers . The intake is a vintage holley strip dominator topped with a double pumper. All the pretty black stuff was chrome this morning . i think it looks much better black. Afterall chrome don't get ya home!!!! Thanks for the feedback nice to see more gearheads out there than just me . I'm a horsepower junkie!!!!:metal:

I was wondering what you plan on using for gas? do you have access to race gas and then mix with pump gas? Just curious:confused:

Bob 68327 07-17-2007 06:23 AM

Re: Project wild mouse

Yup I have acess to race gas hopefully a 50/50 mix. Not my daily driver so i can afford to feed it, build got a little wilder than it was supposed to .

Re: Project wild mouse

have you ever thought about runnig e85 in your motor. it wont produce quite the power as race gas but it is a heck of a lot cheeper. just a thought. i am leaning towards this rout.. looks like she will run hard.. i like the black...

Bob 68327 07-17-2007 07:00 PM

Re: Project wild mouse

Hello Bob and everybody else! I am back and glad to see that bob has put his money in my hands, somewhat and that the almost end results are awesome. Love seein' all that I can so I can learn from Bob. Ole' Skool is the way to be. Save the money for the GO FAST and not the WHOA LOOK AT THAT, well maybe just a little of the last when you see the rubber screamin' for dear help....Thanks for all the help Bob and keep up the good work! Oh and by the way nothing wrong with spending a little hard cash at the local Carquest store...one more thing your..hmm...hmm(cough) SPECIAL OIL FILTER---the company that circles the problem---filter is in for that conversion kit that I sold ya..:smoke:

Re: Project wild mouse

Special thanks to you Shawn !!! If not for the midnight parts shopping it wouldn't be as far as it is . It's good to have someone around who wants to learn about this stuff instead of just buying crate motors . They are probably cheaper than what I built but you wouldn't learn as much!!!! Glad to see you got some rest and came back !!!!!

Re: Project wild mouse

Where did you get those center caps? Do they make them for the 73-87
6 lug rally wheels?

Bob 68327 07-18-2007 05:16 PM

Re: Project wild mouse

Bought them at Good Guys in Des Moines don't know who makes em'. I think I know what wheels you are talking about but I don't know availability. Sorry If you make a new thread I think I saw some on a truck in here somewhere!!
