?? about Slam bags for my 66 short/fleet
Hey all.
I'm starting on my 66 short fleet this week during our holiday shutdown, and had a question or two. I already have 2) Slam re7's and 2) re8's that I bought for a sold project. Will these work on my 66 ? I'm keeping the stock trailing arms. Maybe add 2" block under them, and going with a KP notch. I just want to know if my slam bags will work, size-wise. Thanks everyone, and have a great holiday. |

im putting re7 all the way around mine, i think the re8 will work on the back.

Will I have to worry about not enough psi at ride height with 8's out back?
I don't want to have to air it up too high to drive, at highway speeds... I'm sticking with stock TA and stock spring location. Just wanted to make sure 8's weren't too much. |

My 68 had the larger Stones in back w/1.5" blocks. Using the bolt in style c-notches, my rear end @ ride height was .75" into the frame which required 30psi in the bags. This was a little too soft (bouncy) for my taste. So ..... during my suspension re-vamp I switched to a smaller diameter bag which would theoretically require more air @ the same height & eliminate that 'bouncy' ride I noticed w/o adding any more height. |
