Actually just the concrete launch pad part, it just had pavement before. Lots of work going into the track this year $140,000.00 worth I do belive is the total. Can't wait to try it out, may not be that big a deal to some but only other time I got to launch on concrete was at races where they close the airport for the day and have at it. With this and the changes I'm making to my truck, planning on running low 10's this year.

$140,000.00 in renovations to the track and areas around it = a nice new hangout. Have fun there and takes some pics when they are done.

Our track did the same thing this year. We had concrete but it was junk.
The difference is night and day better. Takes a while for it to get enuff rubber on it...but it's worth the wait.

Our local drag strip (Pittsburgh Raceway Park) just got accepted as one of the IHRA's track to host major events starting in 2009. They are going to be investing 2 million in improvements.... : - )

So, I'm guessing it's not a mud pit so the 4x4's can have an advantage?
