Hows about a utility bed with an eletric hoist, air tank, welder and a generator.

Or go ol'sckool on it and do a walk through. :metal:

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

i do kind of like the blazer/walkthrough idea haha but im not sure if im goin that far. im not sure if i wanna lift it, or keep it stock, im thinking black paint, black wheels, headlight covers, tint, just make it look "stealthy" or if i wanna make it black with all the chrome fxins, or a totally different color lol. i dont really want a flatbed, but i cant decide between stepside or fleetside...im leanin towards fleet

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

well somewhat of an update, im going to pick up a bed, with gate and a bedliner, stepside, for 200 bucks...only issue is one small crack in the fiberglass... hows that for a deal?

Hey, that's better!

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

yeah thanks its coming along lol so for inspection i need to put the new bumper on so the bed will fit, bolt down the bed and fix the brakes...heres a question for you... the brakes work decent say in my drieway. but when i go down the road, if i touch the pedal at all, then let off, the brakes will slowly build up pressure and eventually after 20 minutes or so will lock up if i stop...any ideas on what is causing that?

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

ok so one more question... is there any such thing as the ss 454 wheels, but 6 lug?

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

not that ive seen but the stock directons also look pretty good if there not oxidized. or a set of 1999 and up wheels look good on these style trucks

What color you plan on painting it?

SwampDonkey 08-18-2010 01:18 PM

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

i plan on doing the factory 2 tone style with a metallic black on top and bottom, and storm gray (the color of my other truck) in the middle

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

i wanted to do my truck metallic silver with the top half at the body line black with a red pinstripe.

Re: 1988 Project...time for round 2!

finally got an exhaust on it! after the stock y pipe it goes in to 2 1/4 pipe to a cherry bomb turbo (temporary) and then comes out into a 1 7/8 tailpipe...for a little snap on the end. haha
