What have you seen today?

I put some new 5" exhaust on my dirtymax, and went for a cruise, today I saw a 60-66 (I can't tell the difference) 2 door burb/panel, 71 dually with a plow, and a 72 rotting away. Couldnt get pics, they were hard to see, the 60-66 I will post up soon, I'm going back to take a pic of that. It was in a barn for 10 years, and now it's out in the open, but it's covered with snow.

a circular saw, cordless drill, hammer, screwdriver, hammer drill ... that was just to hang the gate ... wifey came home with "purties" for her landscaping addiction, then I saw the wheel barrow, shovel, rake, and pick ... back to "my"chores I saw the sawhorses, paint sticks, bucket and a Purdy trim brush.

I am tard.

Bears...

Not today, but yesterday.... wife & I were scouting for firewood, hadn't yet left the pavement when a sow & yearling cub slowly walked across the road just in front of us, then ran up the bank when we got too close. A short time later and a few miles up a dirt road, saw another sow, this one with two yearling cubs. We watched as they worked their way up a draw right in front of us.

Five bears is the most we've seen in one day.... made the trip worthwhile even though firewood was scarce.

Re: What have you seen today?

Wow, that can't be a real 250 GTO they only built like 36 of them. One just sold at auction for 2.6 million bucks. If that's really that is incredable!!!

Two very nice cars! Yes, it is a '67 (my favorite year). Its unique side vents are hard to see in that pic, but rectangular backup lamps above the rear plate are a dead giveaway.

About the GTO, I agree with Luke.... if its not real it sure looks good.

However, given the rarity of real GTOs, that one may well be a kit built on an early Datsun 240Z. Check this out, and the web page has several other pics of the car, including engine & interior:

saturday dad and i checked out a junkyard about 2mi from our house and saw this dodge fuel truck, another '50's dodge service truck, a '65 C 30 with a service body, a bent up 64-66 hood, a bent up eyebrow hood and half of the front clip from it, and a 64-65 olds 4-4-2 that dad had evidently bought years ago but never went and got it. i will be looking into it more here in the future...

i think those old dodge cabs got dad thinking about rat rods.....

Given the rarity of the 250 GTO, it was my first guess that it was a remake, but I couldn't remember any replicar GTOs offhand, thanks for the link. Cool, one way or the other!
