Photos from tonight

I have a friend who is a professional photographer. He took a bunch of photos of my '63 C10 at the car meet we went to. My truck was definitely the oldest vehicle there, and it was also the only American vehicle. But it still caught the attention of a bunch of the import kiddies.

Nice truck!
That reminds me of when i used to go the Saturday night get together when I was in Okinawa.
I used to roll up reeeeeal slooow and have my '53 Belair slammed on the ground. All the rice rockets and wanna be lowrider hondas would just stare in disbelief.

Unfortunately, around here american iron is a rare thing. When you do see it it's typically a newer mustang or camaro or something that is riced out like the imports.

If I drive a little further out of town there are more meets that are more appropriate for my truck, and my age!

Thanks for all the kind words. I can't take 100% credit for the looks of the truck. When I bought it was already painted Bahama Blue Metallic (which was part of the appeal of the truck to me). I've done a lot of mechanical and electric work to it to get it up and running, as well as did some cleaning up of the interior.

Of course, my photographer friend is able to make the truck look SO much better in the photos than all the actual imperfections you can see when you are up close!

As for American Muscle in virginia, there is a lot of classic cars in Virginia, but I live up in Northern VA near Washington DC, so this immediate area it's pretty rare. Imports are the norm here. If I head out towards manassas, or further south of here, that's where the older cars are.

No, it's Bahama Blue Metallic, according to the touch up paint bottle that came with the truck. I bought the truck this color, the previous owner had it painted. It's definitely a GM color, but not sure what vehicles came stock with this color paint.

Love the pics man, that truck sure pops right out of them (and a good looking truck too). Sorry to see your in a mostly import area, I would definitely spend more time out of town if it were me. :)

Yup, lots of ole vehicles in my part of VA (S.W. part)
Unfortunately there aren't many American people in the DC area either.

Great truck! There are a lot of old cars around here too but most don't run! :( Its rare to see an older car on the street around here and the really nice stuff only comes out long enough to go from point A to point B and back. I never see people just ridin and enjoyin old cars.
