Photos from tonight
I have a friend who is a professional photographer. He took a bunch of photos of my '63 C10 at the car meet we went to. My truck was definitely the oldest vehicle there, and it was also the only American vehicle. But it still caught the attention of a bunch of the import kiddies.

Re: Photos from tonight
You were the only American Iron? Gee you maybe need to hang out with an older/better crowd ;)

Re: Photos from tonight
Nice truck!
That reminds me of when i used to go the Saturday night get together when I was in Okinawa. I used to roll up reeeeeal slooow and have my '53 Belair slammed on the ground. All the rice rockets and wanna be lowrider hondas would just stare in disbelief. Viva |
Re: Photos from tonight
Unfortunately, around here american iron is a rare thing. When you do see it it's typically a newer mustang or camaro or something that is riced out like the imports.
If I drive a little further out of town there are more meets that are more appropriate for my truck, and my age! |
Re: Photos from tonight
I thought VA was FULL of old cars and trucks!!! Maybe you're not lookin in the right areas. Nice truck none the less. Looks great!

Re: Photos from tonight
Thanks for all the kind words. I can't take 100% credit for the looks of the truck. When I bought it was already painted Bahama Blue Metallic (which was part of the appeal of the truck to me). I've done a lot of mechanical and electric work to it to get it up and running, as well as did some cleaning up of the interior.
Of course, my photographer friend is able to make the truck look SO much better in the photos than all the actual imperfections you can see when you are up close! As for American Muscle in virginia, there is a lot of classic cars in Virginia, but I live up in Northern VA near Washington DC, so this immediate area it's pretty rare. Imports are the norm here. If I head out towards manassas, or further south of here, that's where the older cars are. |

Re: Photos from tonight
Love the pics man, that truck sure pops right out of them (and a good looking truck too). Sorry to see your in a mostly import area, I would definitely spend more time out of town if it were me. :)

Awesome photos.
I love that color also....that's one of my favorite blue's. And being on a '63 makes it even better :) |
Re: Photos from tonight
Great truck! There are a lot of old cars around here too but most don't run! :( Its rare to see an older car on the street around here and the really nice stuff only comes out long enough to go from point A to point B and back. I never see people just ridin and enjoyin old cars.
