Upgrades to my new 58 Fleetside
Hey Now I have my 58 Fleetside I would like to upgrade her, I want to keep it stock(ish) as im still building (and spending heaps) on my rod.

Also I would like to lower it but I am concerned about trying to send core units to and from the US? Also if I keep the 3 on the tree manual column shift can i have an aftermarket tilt steering column? And If I wanted to shorten the Brake and Clutch Pedal is that ok if so how much is ok and is there any bad points, being 6ft7 alittle more room would be great. Thanks in advance. Below are just a couple more pics of the car. http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/6...243bc6f5df.jpg http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/5...b7caf1c9e6.jpg http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/4...cdcb175389.jpg http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/2042/photosqg.jpg Shane |

Welcome
That is a very nice looking truck. IMHO either wheel combo would look good on it. The steel wheels look like they have dog dish caps but is kinda hard to tell with the reflection. Kim |
Re: Upgrades to my new 58 Fleetside
Those wheels are commonly referred to as American mags, not sure what they are called now. Your truck looks great just the way its sets. Add some chrome bumpers, a chrome grill, bolt on a power steering kit and a bolt on front disk brake kit, have the seat redone or do it your self. All are things you can do yourself in stages, that will cost less per month than a car payment.

Nice clean truck. Too nice to butcher with modern upgrades. Enjoy it for what it is, and drive a newer truck for comfort. They're not making them original anymore.
