Gas issues. Loss of torque and initial power.
1970 c10 w/74' or 75' chevy 5.7L 350 w/quadrajet and auto trans.
So I did an oil change and belt replacement on the truck. Now I have to put the gas peddle halfway down to get a response. Once I get a response there is a serious lack of torque and over all power. I'm just trying to figure out what I did while working on the truck that may have caused this or if its just a total coincidence that something messed up while I was working on it, and what that might be. |
Re: Gas issues. Loss of torque and initial power.
Sounds like a timing chain or the distributor loose or maybe a shear pin in the distributor itself.

Just for the record on this one. I just had a loose screw that holds the throttle rod assembly to the carb. I'm learning, slowly but surely...
