Best fit stock exhaust manifold

Im ready to start purchasing swap items and need to know what stock exhaust manifolds work best in a 70 c20 2wd.
Im using an LS1 from a corvette along with a 2002 4l80e.
I have the corvette manifolds, just have not read about anyone using them.

Thanks

Trail Blazer SS manifolds are popular, you will need to trim the drivers side trans "wing" a little.

Re: Best fit stock exhaust manifold

I used the ls6 Corvette manifolds. They worked and fit great. I then swapped to some mid length camaro headers they also fit good. I am now turbo charged so I went back to the stock truck manifold on the driverside.
I built my own mounts so it will be different for each different mount. I had read the corvette manifolds performed as well as headers so I used them. I did a littl trimming on the frame rails but it was minimal.
I say use them...

Re: Best fit stock exhaust manifold

Good info. Thanks.
I think i will end up building my own motor mounts and try to use the corvette manifolds. Im just concerned with motor mounts and manifolds interfering with my A/C compressor in the stock Vette location.
Any thoughts on moving the motor forward or back for tranny or any other clearances. Ill be using a 4l80e.

Thanks
