wilwood master cylinder install pics?

Anyone got photos of an install on a 67-72 cab? How it bolts to the firewall and which mounting holes are used.

Re: wilwood master cylinder install pics?

Nice, does it cover the entire hole in the fire wall since you only use the bottom holes? Did it come with the adapters you have in the picture on the brake line fittings?

Yes and yes.

Re: wilwood master cylinder install pics?

One more question, is it pretty much a bolt in with the brake rod and pedal?
My truck had a power brake setup from the factory.

Re: wilwood master cylinder install pics?

Mine had manual brakes,... and it was a direct bolt on.

Re: wilwood master cylinder install pics?

No problem finding a manual setup, just glad it is a bolt up unit. Thanks for all the fast responses. Going to give Scotts Hotrod a call in the morning and get the order in.

He has helped me with some questions I have posted on this forum. Time to pay it foward and spend some money with them as they support the forum. Trying to spread it out with the vendors on the site.

Good to see that...I don't think Jeg's is a vendor on here ;)

I would assume you have 4 wheel disc with that 1" bore?
Hows the pedal?
I'm converting my power to manual and not sure which bore size is best. What calipers are you using?

Thanks

Re: wilwood master cylinder install pics?

This truck is not on the road yet.

My '69 also has a 1" bore M/C with no booster.
It is a disc/drum set up.
Pedal effort is a little more than a truck with a booster,... but I think it's worth it to clean up the firewall.
I'm using Wilwood D52 calipers.

Re: wilwood master cylinder install pics?

One more question Keith if you don't mind ( and if it's ok with the OP I don't mean to threadjack) are you using an OE (or OE type) combination valve on either truck and if so are you also using an aftermarket adjustable prop valve in addition to the OE valve.
2 questions, sorry.

Thanks

My stepside has a SSBC prop valve mounted on the frame.

My '69 has a standard disc/drum prop valve that hangs below the M/C.

Nice workmanship on the line bending Keith!

Re: wilwood master cylinder install pics?

Never seen that SSB valve before, nice piece but dude, that is the cleanest work on the lnstall/tube bending I have ever seen. Period. Anywhere. 180 into a 90 that close to a fitting? I would not believe that was even possible. I am seriously impressed.
BTW, thanks for the info....

Wilwood also makes a cool "distribution system" that is also adjustable.
But I already had the SSBC unit.
