Mr. Southern
That is one nice truck you have there. Are you planning to keep it a fire truck or is the bed coming off?............Flat67 |
Re: 1961 c-70
dont know what the plan is yet. it needs clutch and brake work , but thats way back on the back burner.
anybody ever see a hole like that on the drivers side inner fender. it runs out to the grill. maybe some kind of ram air system? |
Re: 1961 c-70
I don't really know what that hole in the inner fender is either.
I like the Shift Knob. The truck is a 5-Speed trans and 2-Speed rear right? |
Re: 1961 c-70
Other than restoring it as a Fire Truck, I know what I would do with it. It would make a great Roll Back. The Rear Axel looks like it is in the exact correct place for one.

Very cool truck. Keep some pics rolling when you decide how to proceed.

I saw the Eatonton on the door. Passed that exit on I-20 a million times it seems like. I grew up in Augusta moved to North ga. Family still lives there. Nice truck. Love the old fire trucks

Re: 1961 c-70
first thing it`s going to get is a bath and an oil change, if the weather stays nice.

Re: 1961 c-70
That one is a solid one alright. Many firetrucks were fancy for medium duties with all the bells & whistles, but this one is fairly Spartan.
