My sons went to Houston Raceway last night...had a good time. It's a good place for a 18 and a 16 yr old to hang out....Fast cars....lotta girls....SUPERVISED.......for $8. Not bad

All I can say is WOW!! Tonight was such a blast. Will, Star, Cam, Smokey and I had the time of our lives. There's nothing like grilling out, drinking some cold brews and watching some awesome racing! The cars were running exceptionally fast. Kenny Barnes clicked off two 4.67 runs in a row! A turbo Porche ran off the end of the track and another car had its driveshaft pass it up going down the track. To top it off, they were having a 50/50 raffle for the Junior Dragsters. The first time the kids came by, we all bought a couple tickets. Then the second time they came by, we had drank a few more beers and were feeling quite generous, so we bought some more. Then at 11:30 they called out the winning ticket, guess who won, your's truly! When the kids came by the second time, they said they were up to a little over $100, so I figured the pot wouldn't be too big. Smokey and I get to the other side of the track to collect my winnings and he hands me a wad of cash. I saw that it was wrapped in a $100 bill, so I took it and gave it back and said, "it's for the kids, they deserve it". They were quite happy that I did that and it sure made me feel good, as it's going to a good cause. As we walk off, I count what's left over and it totals to $170 after the gift back to the kids. Like I said, what a night!!!!! For those of you that have never been to a KOTH race, you have to go atleast once, you'll be hooked for sure.
