picked up my step side bed today

It took me forever to find a bed

here is the driver side fender which will need to be replaced...

it needs work on the front and rear..
the front has a few holes and rough towards the bottom..

here is the back where it has the bottom rail rusted off

the back panel lower strip has part that has rust off which i hope to be able to fix.

here is the driver side bed panel which has the mount for the floor (i guess its the side rail, looks to have some issue, which i hope is another easy fix

Looks like a great start. If you cut the rusty areas back to solid metal you shouldn't have any trouble welding in new metal. Good luck with your project.

Good luck on your frame. If you have a welder and some skills or the willingness to learn, you'll have it whipped into shape in no time. I saw a thread once about a guy who pulled a 63 Impala SS convertible out of a ditch and was rusted beyond any imaginable repair. He took his time and fixed it inch by inch and made a show piece out of it. Your frame looks nice and workable. By the way, Welcome to the Board, sqweak!
