Back to squares 2

Hey all glad to be back after a long while, I have searched and searched and find a little bit of nothing for what I'm looking for, I have an 84 chevy cc dually with no motor, no trans, had a 350 in it, with a 400 trans. It's 2wd drive and I really want a 4wd cc with srw, my question is, is there a kit that can be had for the front, without a part from here and a part from there, not opposed to a frame swap, but they are hard to find and pricy. I have multiples of the axles trans and transfer case, just wonder if there is a kit for it, to simplify it.

Then my next question is for my 85, standard cab gmc 6.2 diesel, all factory but seems like it has small axles for a big heavy truck. So to get to the question, I want to put the dually axle in this truck, and get the front hubs to match, with the smaller axles, will I have to do an axle swap to get an axle that has available front hub conversions, or what am I looking at for this?

Also I have been looking for so long, most of my questions have been answered, I am just a little searched out at this point, does someone make an actual kit for the retrofit for r-134a from r-12 with the barrier hoses and orifice tube and I-rings and such?? This place is the best forum on the net, thanks!!

1. Nobody makes a 4wd conversion kit but man i wish they did, i wouldn't have to drive to missouri (5 hours) just to get a k30 frame.

2. That k25 should have a 14 bolt rear axle, which are VERY VERY hard pressed to destroy, if not impossible. I broke one only by flipping the truck and it just cracked the axle tubes. The front should be a 10 bolt, strong up to 38's or so... A 1 ton dana 60 will give you more strength but woo they're expensive.

3. None of my trucks had AC so good luck!

I here ya on the ac, I am spoiled by it I guess, I sold my 2500 dodge cummins for a mint price so I figured I would stick with the old squares I have been away from home with work for two weeks and no time to get pictures but the rear axle is an 8-lug but I know for sure it's not the corp 14...

you basically need the front springs axle pittman arm and the rest of the steering comps (tie rods ect...) to convert. its all pretty simple just need the parts. seems like the engine crossmember is a little different too but its workable. as for the 6.2 if its a 8 lug its a 14 bolt. gm didnt offer anything else beside it and the d70. me id rather have the 14 bolt over the 70.
