After scouring these forums, I came to the conclusion that the Chevy I bought from a 20 year old kid in 2010 after getting back from Afghanistan had a sagging front passenger coil spring. After further research I noticed the rear leaf springs were 3/4 ton and not the 1/2 ton originals. The engine is the 5.7L V8 350 and not the 305 the VIN said it came with which might have had a little to do with the sagging springs. The front passenger side was an inch and a half lower than the driver's side. Plus the front end itself was way lower than the rear end.

Decided on the Moog 3/4 ton front springs and after much hassle and trips to pepboys realized that neither the outside type compressor or inside type compressor fits between the upper and lower control arms. I'm no genius but I'm a problem solver. Attaching some images of how I made the outside type coil spring compressors fit. Also, if anyone has a C10 and is wondering how to remove the spring, its 1)compress the spring slightly having the compressor cover about 3 coils, 2)support the lower control arm with a jack while the truck itself is on jackstands, 3)undo the ubolts holding the lower control arm to the crossmember and lower until the spring is able to be taken out.

Just reverse the steps to get the new spring back in. I only had to compress the new spring slightly to allow for the placement and then the jacking up of the lower control arm to re-install the Ubolts.

The 305 and 350 weigh the same. Cycling kills springs.
