Well im starting a build thread for my brother. He got the truck on august 8th, and he's been slowly on free time messing with the trucking gathering parts, truck is a 64 GMC shortbed stepside originally came with an inline 6 and a 3 on the tree, before my brother bought the truck it already had a smallblock 400 from a 72 c10 swapped in and a cast iron 2spd powerglide from a 61 or older car swapped in. It is a coil sprung front suspension and 10 bolt rear end with leaf springs, the truck was originally white with a fawn interior, but has had a couple repaints and also had an engine fire which toasted the wires and warped the hood.

Plans for the truck:
4 link rear end
12 bolt posi
going to go with air ride if he can if not then will be bagged
4 wheel disc brakes
20x8" American force SS6 front and 22x12" American force ss6 rear wheels
Pump up the 400 smallblock to 450hp
Still deciding on paint
That's just the start to his plans. Anyways enough talking heres pictures of the truck

He got rid of the original intake, valve covers and air cleaner and then he bought a new 1406 (posted this on Instagram and a lot of people said it was a crappy carburetor, but I know many and own a truck that has had the 1406 and it's done really nice, Carburetors are funny like that though some people swear by them and some people swear at them!)

Next up we had to get that grant wheel off the truck! IMO those grant wheels are......not really the best wheel for these trucks let's just say

Next we were looking at the truck and the truck has the patina look but it's still missing something... Well we found what it was needing!

The white grill is much better. Still need to do a metallic silver on the letters and either find a chrome bumper or paint the front bumper white and do the steel rims a gloss black. He found these wheels and tires and put them on, the red is cool but the black will look awesome.

I regret to inform you guys that my brother has changed gears and has sold this truck, and is now building a 72 c10. If a mod could delete this thread or something that would be fine with me as this thread doesn't even have any useful information discussed in it. Thank you.
