Playing around with 8 lug Single wheels before the steel Duallys came into play. Drop spindles was the reason why we went with the dually setup. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psu1gjjktu.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pslexnrcc3.jpg Front dually setup with drop spindles and cut springs for now, awaiting airbag setup. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7...psaeyfgwn9.jpg 1st attempt on a rear dually set up. This rear was completely rotted out backing plates extremely rusted. The 2 ND rear was two thumbs up . http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pspqvxc4by.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7...pst46pdwhl.jpg Cleaning scraping the rear ,the old school way . |

Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Perhaps not the right thread to comment in, but, the picture with the brake drum and hub facing vertical looks like the cast iron planters my girlfriend ogles over.
Great project, following. |

Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Very cool. Love the father son project. What are your plans for rear fenders?

Duals look awesome.

Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Cool truck. I know I'm late to the party but I hope there's more. I'm in for low budget builds.

Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Very cool.
I built a 68 1 ton dually shortbed last year. Widened the short bed 6 inches and it covered the duals perfectly. What are you planning for a bed? Great to see your son in the middle of it. That's how most of us all started. "One day your son will thank you for it. His wife, not soo much". Ha. :metal: Be following this one. |
