Stock 67-72 tach with 12v?
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, I've searched and can't find this answer. Can I use my stock tech with my 91.5 12v? I've seen some of those adapters for your dampener, with diff pulse readings. Hopefully someone has done this. Thanks!!

Matt,
Do you happen to have any more pics of your swap? Gorgeous truck!!! BBB |
Re: Stock 67-72 tach with 12v?
If you have a pick up sensor and have 4 notches milled into your vibration dampner, you can get it to work. You have to solder in a 1k ohm resistor in between the signal and pos wires on the pick up sensor harness to get it to work. I'll have to dig up my notes. I haven't gotten to that on mine yet.

Matt,
Thank you very much for the pics! I am getting ready to start a swap into a 1972 C-30 and I am just trying to get all the info I can. Did you use the stock second gen intercooler? Thanks! Alex |
Re: Stock 67-72 tach with 12v?
Yup, 2nd gen intercooler and had it shortened. To tall , it hit the good latch
