58 Fleetside bed

While working on my 58 Fleetside, the fender wells had been flaired,(not a good job)I have one side back to original but the other side is in bad shape.Does anyone sell patch panels for the Fleetside?

I did stumble across a post here about using 1960 wheel arch patch panels, are they the same or would I need to replace both sides

OK i'm getting a better understanding of the differance between a 60 and a 58,I think the 60 is the same arch as the 58

I have also been told by "professionals" that the bottom half of 60 up is same as 58-59 Fleetside.
I replaced right rear corner on my 59 Fleetside by just rolling flat piece of cold roll to shape and tacking in.
I reverse rolled an inch or so into the spear section because I think the seam would be easier to hide in the roll as apposed to the flat surface below it.
Truck painted and you can't tell a thing.

nice job scuzz
I think I will have my body guy stop by tomorrow,I can cut wheel out and replace it with a 60 one ,but there is the curve just above the opening. It will take me a day or two to make the tooling for a 5min job.

Re: 58 Fleetside bed

While the 60-66 fleet side beds look the same from the "bullet" down, the major difference is the wheel well opening. The 58-59 beds have about a 3/4 inch flat lip, whereas the 60-66 beds come to a point.

What I have been doing is taking a patch panel from the front wheel well opening of 55-59 fenders to fix that area.

Scuzz, the bed job looks great. I noticed that you are in Tunnel Hill. My nephew has a blasting business called Flintstone MediaBlasting near Lafayette and does a lot of car parts. His name is Mitchel Kingsley, Just wondering if you know him.

is the opening close to a front fender opening? maybe a wheel opening patch panel from a front fender could be used? got any donor front fenders?
my fleetside box went to a good home. sorry, can't compare, but it looks kinda close to a front fender opening, kinda sorta in a way.
