1968 C10 headlights flash with engine on or off
I have read the previous post regarding this same issue and have checked the grounds and replaced the dimmer switch. There are no sounds when the lights start flashing and it will happen with the engine on or off. i just picked up this truck about 6 weeks ago so I don't know the history of what has been done.
Any ideas to help me troubleshoot? Thanks |
Re: 1968 C10 headlights flash with engine on or off
Welcome aboard!
Is it just a random on-off-on-off, with no regular pattern? Does it happen only when the light switch is on? Without more info, I'd guess a bad headlight switch. You might have to remove the switch to access it to test it with a test light or basic VOM. It might also be a loose-fitting connector on the headlight switch. |

It is when the switch is on. I haven't checked the headlight switch itself. Good call, I will let you know

Fords were famous for this problem in the 70's , Stockers right head towards the light.... (switch)
