NP540C and 420 or 465 PTO units? and C-50 to C-30 driveline u joints??
ok how about a chelsea PTO unit on a NP540C tranny...would this PTO fit on either a 420 or a 465?? the 540C is 6 bolt standard/same pattern power take off opening IIRC or AFAIK.. i want the PTO just so i have it in case i ever need it and want to make something hydraulic operated cylindrically, possibly, some day.
and what about the driveline/U-joints on this grain truck? its a tandem axle extra heavy sucker. 30K was the heaviest rated weight tandem axle C50 available i found out.. its 366 and NP540C hydraulic brake with the big clamp-nuts wheel hubs. would these U-joints be wayy too much bigger than a standard 10K lb C30? i want a middle section of driveline/extension section around 12" to 16" or so length with the carrier bearing on it like these are!!! bad!! so that i can lengthen my 133" wheel base that much more!! hmmm!!! or is this just too darned big for a basic low GVRW C-30(not the optional and rare big 10-lug hubs 11,000lb H110 axle) or just grab the whole entire driveline? of course has drum brake tranny output though.. ive been on a roll with pulling goodies from this beast before it hits shredder soon, and i want to make a longer than 133" W.B. C-30 dually DD if i can.. using any possible parts from this '69 C50 that i can maybe? |
