Low Hump Floor and Manual Transmission
My 69 is a high hump floor that turns out is in much rougher shape than expected. I found a good deal on complete low hump floor assembly. I'm wondering how much cutting of a low hump floor is required to run a floor shift trans? I'm likely going to be putting a TKO in it or a T56. Is it as simple as cutting a hole for the shifter, or would I be better off cutting up the floor and modifying it to accept the high hump?

Re: Low Hump Floor and Manual Transmission
My Blazer has a low hump & a TKO with no mod. to the floor.... except for the hole for the shifter.

Re: Low Hump Floor and Manual Transmission
The replacement floor I just bought has markings stamped into it to cut out the low hump for the high hump. I don't think it will be any trouble.

Re: Low Hump Floor and Manual Transmission
I cut out my low hump and put in a bolt in steel high hump. Pretty straight forward, pics in the link.
