My 2 toys

2 Attachment(s)
Here’s my 2 toys bought them both when you could and they were cheap , that is compared to today’s prices!
Bought the car in 2000 , it was Meadow lark yellow , hated the color so . I did this color.
69 Mach 1 , 351 .30 over bore , cam , intake and carb . Running 400 h.p Jade Green
FMX tranny with a shift kit .

The cycle is a 67 Triumph Tiger , 650 . Bought it in 76 for cheap transportation .
It vibrates so bad , parts fall of if you don’t stay on top of keeping fasteners tight.

Both of these were torn down and restored ., back when I did them , we did have all this technology and pic’s are all on film.

Nice job on the triumph, rode them for years, started with a 500cc, and ended up with a 750 twin, leaked oil all the time, now I have a 400 dual sport...

Would like to see more pics of the bike when you find them

Cool toys! Friend of mine has a 69 Mach I. Might just be the pinnacle of Mustang back in the day. I like the 65 fastback models but something about the lines of the 69 is just that much more appealing.

Digging the old bike. The old British stuff is cool but like you said, they were hand and butt numbing over a long ride. Will be classic and cool long after we are all gone as well. I'd like to see those old photos if you find them. I'm a sucker for all sorts of projects.

I've always liked Triumphs. I don't remember the model or size, but my dad had one when I was a little kid. I remember it was fun bombing around with him. I have a buddy that has a 60's Bonneville with under 10K original miles. He keeps it in his office as a piece of "art" I guess. I don't think he ever plans on driving it.

Nice looking Triumph. Never rode a Trumpet but in my earlier years had a '52 Harley K model, 750 cc, think of an early Sportster to bring a pic to your mind. Going for the outlaw biker look I guess, LOL. Extended front end, no front brake, peanut tank, Z-bars, King & Queen seat, no mufflers, just drag pipes. Man, that thing sounded good at an idle and on the road!

When I cam back from 'Nam in '70 bought a '69 Mach 1. 351, 4 speed, buckets and console, gauges, rally wheels, metallic blue with black interior. Had just under 12K miles and gave $2,600 for it. Drove it for several years and traded it off, back then they were a dime a dozen, Mustangs on every block and street corner. Couldn't touch it today for $26,000, liking the '69s over the '70 Mach 1s.

Somewhere I have pics of both but would take me for ever to find them I'm sure.

I think the 69 was the pinnacle mustang for for too , can’t beat the lines on that car.
I wanted the 69 as my first new car , get this it was $8.00 more a month in the pymt than I could afford . Had to wait until 2000 to get it . Then it was a whole lot more than that $8.00 bought it from a dealer in Ohio Kar Mustang , never saw the car in person bought after seeing a video of it from the dealer.

The Triumph was a fluke , the guy needed money and I wanted my first bike .
Those old bikes vibrate so bad , nuts and bolts fall off if you don’t stay on top it them.
