67 C10 6 lug to 5 lug drum brake rears - Whats compatible ?
 

Hi from Australia.....I have a 1967 Chevy C10 and I want to convert the 12 bolt 6 lug rear end to a 5 lug rear end and keep it drum brake. Is there any other compatible year i can use for the rear drums ? Current drums are 11" x 2"

For the 60 to 69 12 bolt diff you can buy new axles
Moser makes a set so do several others places some places to order are summit racing gmc pauls ece cpp lmc to name a few

Other way is look for a wider 70 diff or the 71 72 diff which is already 5 bolt

Or get a 5 bolt out of a 73 81 square body
Ece sells a kit that you can retrofit the newer axle in

If your axles are in good shape where the bearings and seals are riding on the axle you could have them welded up and redrilled by a machine shop

My 1/2 ton project i am switching up to 11x 2 3/4 mainly from the fact i have a good set with new brakes

What does your truck look like ?
I never seen any c10s when i was down under years back

Other thing i have thought about was use 6 bolt front rotors and use 17 or 18s of newer chevy trucks
