Air volume question

Are there any downsides to running 12 gallons of air tank with 2 444c viair compressors? I understand that the compressors will take longer to fill that volume but other than that is there anything to worry about?

Re: Air volume question

There are no down sides except space limitations. Most people run between roughly 3-5 gallons, and have zero issues with airing up from laying out.

I meet a guy who was building a pro touring style C10 with air ride, and was only going to use 2.5 gallons. In the tests with the larger pump he was using it could easily air up once.

I have also seen people use 2-5 gallon tanks for emergency air tool use. With out adding a proper air compressor system.

Unless you plan to hop it or have needs for 12 gallons of air. It is quite the overkill.
