Now if only you could still use copo to order it with a tr6060 and LT4:burnout:

Re: The SCSB is back.
It's about time.

Re: The SCSB is back.
I was thinking yesterday that GM needs to come out with an actual bad to the bone regular cab SWB and simply call it the Street Truck. All the sales going to trucks and SUVs is focused on 4wd while there is a huge interest in classic modified performance regular cab 2wds. A low AWD would be cool as well. Something like a fullsize version of the Cyclone and could do a Tahoe version, too, like the Typhoon. The performance is there, they just have to use it

Re: The SCSB is back.
Well, that looks promising.

Re: The SCSB is back.
Thank goodness!

Re: The SCSB is back.
Amazing, the new gm (notice the lower case) cares what people want!

Re: The SCSB is back.
I don't agree with the writer Monica about a short wheel base lifted truck looking "goofy" and the only engine choices she mentioned are a turbo 4 cyl and a 6 cyl duramax diesel. No mention of a V8.
I suppose that platform should make for an easy EV model when the time comes? |

I just checked the website. That truck is not available yet.

Re: The SCSB is back.
are my eyes deceiving me or is that 454 emblems on the flanks?
|
Re: The SCSB is back.
Looks like 454 to me.
|
Re: The SCSB is back.
Yeah, kinda ghosted in there. Picking up on the heritage of the 454SS I would guess. Unless some nearby business has a sign with their phone number on it _ _ _454 _ _ _ _
Hafta be the mirror image tho I guess to look like a 454 when reflected... never mind. |
Re: The SCSB is back.
Now that it's just my wife, myself, and the dog we could probably pull off a single cab shorty again. But, I sure have gotten spoiled with all that room for "stuff."
|
Re: The SCSB is back.
Alot depends on the cab design. I have been around some that you could put a cart full of groceries behind the seat. That clears up alot of space. Others seemed like only the jack would fit back there. Honestly the back seat of my 4 door is a disaster and needs cleaned out to put a person back there.

I've always been a regular cab guy. That's a truck to me. I've owned Blazers, Jimmys, and Suburbans for carrying people. Even a few cars! |
Re: The SCSB is back.
I miss the SCSB trucks but to I think it looks stupid ugly and out of proportion. Its too tall between the window & bottom of the door. Bed looks too tall as well.

Re: The SCSB is back.
I wonder where these will be assembled. Maybe Oshawa or divvied up across plants?
"The situation will change slightly in the near future. As GM Authority reported in May, The General has invested CAD $1.3 billion in the GM Oshawa Assembly plant in Ontario to produce the Silverado and Sierra. The facility has been idle since the discontinuation of the Chevy Impala and Cadillac XTS sedans." https://gmauthority.com/blog/2021/06...cks-are-built/ |
