ISO: temp wire & terminal from dash cluster

1 Attachment(s)
Hoping someone has a parts truck that they could remove the temp wire & terminal from the connector plug to send me. Mine is missing from the connector and the terminals are only sold in min. Qty of 28 online. Hoping I can just plug an old one into the connector and solder my cut temp wire to it. Thanks -Mike. (67 C10)

If you are upgrading your gauge cluster from a 3-hole style with warning lights to a 7-hole style with gauges, then you need to rearrange the pins on that connector. You will not need to add a pin. See this thread for more information.

I can mail you a single connector pin with a few inches of wire attached if that will help you. I would cut it from a junk original harness I have. Let me know.

That would totally help. I’m just trying to avoid paying $30+ dollars for the whole setup when I only need 1 terminal : ).
I’ll pm you and we’ll see if we can work something out. Thanks again

Not switching to 7 hole- it just seems that someone had removed the temp wire from the plug for some reason (my temp gauge didn’t work and my google search showed that the #5 slot was for the temp gauge)

Here's a photo of the terminal/wire I'll mail to you today. By the way, it is normal for pin 5 of that connector to be empty on a truck with a temperature gauge. The temperature gauge is the dark green wire on pin 6.

That’s good info, thank you. I saw one that showed it on 5 and another that showed it on 6. I’m definitely an amateur at all this and always learning : )

The temperature switch for 3-hole warning light gauge cluster is on pin 5. The schematic that's available for download in the Electrical section has both versions shown. The "Gauges" version of the connector is in the upper right corner.

The terminal is in the mail, by the way. Hopefully you won't need it.
