Can someone tell me what this dial is for? It was not connected to anything when I removed the dash.

Thanks

I don't think that's stock. Maybe an owner add on?

That dial is for the speed warning indicator in the speedometer. Turn the dial to a specific speed and when it hits that speed a buzzer under the dash sounds. I believe it was 67 and 68 only option

Learn something every day, I've only owned 69 and up.

Re: What is this for?
I believe it is part of your optional Speed Minder speedometer. The knob is supposed to move the second needle on the speedometer.(Yours is pointing to 55 MPH)
Here is a link to one of many posts on them.
It's supposed to warn you if you exceed the set mph.

For more information type Speed Minder in the search box above and click 67-72 button.

And welcome aboard.

I have that option in my 63 Grand Prix and the knob looks the same. Mounted under the dash.

Agreed, make sure you do a little research if you decide to sell it and don't let someone PM you a lowball offer to take it off your hands.
