Front & rear Bilstein Shocks
1 Attachment(s)
Hi All I'm wondering what's the right sizes or part number of Bilstein Shocks for a JIMMY 1972 4WD , Thanks |
Re: Front & rear Bilstein Shocks
When I last looked a few years ago Bilstein only produced a replacement for the front. There were some threads about modifying the rear shock mount and using a different shock, but I don't remember exactly which one or what was done.
I'm running rancho 9000's right now which are better than the extremely cheap KYB shocks that were way too soft. It still rides like ****, but I think a lot of that comes down to the sagging leaf springs and poly bushings. I'm waiting on new springs from Alcan, so I'm hoping everything works out. If I didn't already have $400 into the rancho's I would probably go with bilstein's. |
Re: Front & rear Bilstein Shocks
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Bilstein of America. Unfortunately we do not make any shock absorbers for your vehicle at this time. This is the company's response. But I think the front fits perfectly, but the rear I don't know |

Contact shockwarehouse .
https://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/bilstein_5125.cfm Below is a chart for the 5125 Series that are sold by size, not application. Due to the variances of different modifications to a vehicle, or lift-suspension kits, it is your responsability to confirm that the shocks you purchase are dimensionally correct. |
Re: Front & rear Bilstein Shocks
Will see if I can find the info, but later model shocks fit with trimming the inner metal core. Have Bilsteins on mine.
