8.1 remote oil filter setup
 

Hi, i've been kicking around the idea of adding a oil filter bypass adapter and remote filter setup on my 8.1 vortec. i have a 2002 2500hd and as everyone knows, its a real pain in the a to change the engine oil filter on these trucks.

is anyone currently running this setup on their rig? i'd love to see how you did it, photos, and any parts recommendations.

I'm assuming your truck is 4wd. The filter is pretty easy on these trucks. You can go around the front differential and there is plenty of room to reach the oil filter.

Yeah, it's 4wd. It's not really that easy, in my opinion. I always feel so lucky when I get it off, haha...I don't turn wrenches for a living, but I work on a quite a few vehicles.

Seems to me like a good candidate for remote filter setup
