Yep, I know it is somewhere in one of the 2 main tool chests. Also have a vacuum tool for adjusting the carbs on my old 260Z in the 70s. It's quietly waiting for a use again. There is probably others, but can't think of them at the moment

I have the slotted screw holder, but whatever I take apart the has slotted screws gets reassembled with Phillips or Torx. I have no patience for slotted screws. I keep it for the magnet, though. Yup, have a points adjusting driver and tappet wrenches, to boot.

I had to read through it twice before i realized what you were talking about. I haven't used that screwdriver in probably over 30 years. Still in the tool box though

The points adjusting tool saw regular use until I put an HEI in my truck about 8 years ago. I still have the old points distributor.

Ya learn something every day. I have had one of those screw-holding doodads since I don't know when -- never knew it was for points distributors. Come to think of it, I haven't seen that little bugger in a very long time, so I may have spoken too soon about owning it. I do still have the old points distributor, though. I even know exactly where it has been since the early Eighties! :)

I think I still have 2 of those screw starters in my tool box too. I haven't used them since I discovered this style of starter back in the early 90's. Much better control and no worries about the screw launching itself if you accidentally bump it. They even work on carburetor jets.

OK, I have an old white gas torch, a soldering iron that can be heated with it and some other miscellaneous stuff that I've considering making a shadow box for. I don't have a place to hang said shadow box around here, though.

I've got this wicked pair of old vise-grip pliers (on the left) that my dad gave me when I was a teenager. He got them from my grandma. They were left behind by an abusive boyfriend who conned her out of her house and then died in an accident at a construction site. She got her house back at that point, along with a bunch of his stuff. These pliers don't have a release lever, so you have to pry them apart with a screwdriver. They usually go flying at that point. I can't remember the last time I used them.

I keep all the old tools dad left me even if I never use them:)

I have a pair of the old Vice-grips without the release..they still bust me from time to time.

Got it at a yard sale for $1. It's garage art now.

:agree: Although I put a box of screwdrivers together to send to Goodwill today. I just don't need a bunch of cheap screwdrivers.

I never thought whether I've used a tool recently enough to consider letting it go. Maybe some day that will happen when I realize I never use them. And I hope to never see that day. It's instilled in my brain, buy a tool/keep a tool. I always said no matter how hard times can get, I'll never sell a tool. I'm looking to buy more. Many on my list I have yet to get!

Can't say whether or not I don't need it, but it sure works. Did you ever try to open an old paint can with a common flat screw driver, it just rips the tin into razor sharp edges

Probably the cheapest tool in my Kennedy, even made in China, but it has a special place so I don't lose it

Those bring back memories.
My Daddy's Momma (Grandma) had a painting and wallpaper business.

Her work vehicle was a 19 foot long 1972 Kingswood .

The other end of that opens up RC Cola in a Bottle.

It may open others, But I never tried. :haha::haha:
