You done good Jethro . That's a great driver for boppin' around so you can pamper the other one. I wish I had a red '68 glovebox door to send you. What I did in truck I had was paint a door to match the gauge cluster.

I had a '72 SWB 6cyl/3sp in grey primer that ran like a top. Shifted smooth and all. There's something about buzzing along with that combination. A real throw-back. I can remember how much I enjoyed that truck. But back then, silly me couldn't wait to swap in all the Cheyenne stuff and 402/TH400 off another truck and lower it. I started into it, then found a lowered rolling chassis with everything new and all set up how I wanted and let that 6-banger go. that was dumb. I could have kept driving that one all this time

Appreciate it. I love the sound of the old 6 cylinder and I love how easy it is to work on

This 292 has got some power.

Believe it’s a single “monojet” Rochester

The seat cover was from LMC

Not stock.
Mine has an Offy intake with a 4-bbl Edelbrock 500 CFM carb and Clifford headers.

I knew that, Thanks

Somewhere on here, there's someone looking for a 2 Bbl carb for a 292. Me, being the 292 NON expert was wondering if 292's came with a 2 bbl cArb, or maybe some of them did???

Not in the North American market. Only Aftermarket. You could put a Holley 500 CFM 2Bbl on a Clifford intake or Offy intake.
For the same effort you can run a 4 Bbl, too, and get better low-end cruise on the Primaries. I ran a 4 Bbl Holley 4160 R8007 390 CFM for 25 years. When that carb was clapped out, I got a 500 CFM Edelbrock 1404 [AFB Clone.] Quite happy with my set-up.

South America might be different.
I've seen pix of 1050 CFM Quadrajets on Brazilian L6s with cast iron GM/SA manifolds. Pure cane sugar alcohol as auto fuel doesn't burn as hot as petrochemical gasoline.
