Does the heater hose rub on the ac hard line on all of your trucks ?
4 Attachment(s)
So I am test fitting all my engine bay parts and I have tried multiple ways to stop this from rubbing. The larger upper heater hose points directly at the hard tube that curves behind the POA valve. I would think this would rub thru at some point. all the pieces I'm using are original to the truck so it's not aftermarket junk. I can't figure this one out.

Yeah, I believe just a pinch. That and one of my AC hoses broke the no contact rule.

Do these shots of my '69 help? I believe later trucks were a bit different. Probably a '71 change?

Looking at my set up, I routed the top hose underneath that hardline nut. Seemed to be the best route. I believe both of my hoses contact that hardline. Can't say for sure right now.
Ah, yeah, mine is routed like first owners, above. I like where you installed that nylon strap Jim, I may have to do that. |

Looks like mine('70) is mounted lower, on the vertical surface of the fender.

Thanks for the pictures guys. Looks like the best way I could route the larger hose is to go in the loop of the ac hard line like firstowner69's truck. Nice engine bay. Looks sharp!
