Truck Shop

I had just about given up on doing business with the Truck Shop in Orange Cali. I have done business with them in the past and dealing with them on the phone started to get very difficult. I got tired of staying on hold for 20 minutes only to have a salesperson pick it up, telling me to please hold, then accidently hanging up on me. Or dealing with a very rude woman on the other end of the phone. After searching around for a manual tranny tilt column and having no luck, I called them. I don't know if they got a new person on the phone or what but I was surprised at the good service I received. I ended up placing a 113 line order with them and everything went nice and smooth (so far...I haven't gotten the order yet). The salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly. I thought for sure she would have gotten more than a little frustrated with an order this big. I will post an update when I receive the order. It's supposed to get here around next Friday. I'm glad to see they are getting their sh*t together. Their prices are always pretty good and in the past,my items have been well packaged. I will always prefer to buy from the board vendors, but will continue to use them as a backup.

I like em, they never let me down. The place is big and very busy on the weekends. They have good prices and most everything I need.:bowtie:

I've ordered from them a few times and had good luck each time. The last time they even called me back because they had noticed I had ordered 3 door sills and wanted to make sure I didn't just want 2. Well, I did want only 2, so it was nice to see that someone must've been paying attention!

UPDATE: I got my order today and am very pleased. Everything was there the quality is good and the packing job was great. I placed another order today for a complete set of stainless steel brake lines.

www.truckandcarshop.com

Sorry, don't know how to set up the link yet, I'm new! Not the greatest website, but I'm told they're going to improve it. You can down load the catalog, or get a free one by mail. O.K. pictures of parts and they seem to have good prices. I'll be trying some board members though soon and hope to have a better comparison on price and quality. Sounds like you can't go wrong with the guys on this board!:D

Yeah, I really like the place alot. I've ordered by the phone, and have driven to their place before, all without any hassle. And they usually have the best prices. Some items are around 1/3 of the price they charge at Brother's.

If you live in So Cal, or are ever in the area, make sure to stop by their store. They have several restored trucks, including a 72 Super Cheyenne SWB w/ BB that looks absolutely beautiful.

Got my second order from them today. I got a manual tranny tilt column from them on the first order. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it was missing the small circular wire clip that goes around the bottom nylon bushing was missing. I called them and explained what was missing. The person said no problem and a replacement would be sent out. I don't think he understood what was missing because they sent me (for free) a set of bearings for a tilt column. No big deal, I have a clip laying around that I can use. The rest of the order was fine. I was really impressed with the set of pre-bent stainless steel brake lines.

I've dealt with the truck shop for probably 4-5 years and have never had a problem but my purchases were at show's.
Just as an FYI---they are the biggest importer or 67-72 chevy truck reproduction parts in the country. Most of the dealers buy from their wholesale division. They do not provide the technical or personal help some of us like, but it's very difficult to beat their price.

Bad4x4...The floor shift tilt column was perfect. Can't beat it at $379.00
