Unless the small block is dynoed and built by a reputable builder (not "your friends' buddy that built a race engine in high school one time"), go with the big block. Post the vitals of the small block here and I'm sure someone will tell you if the numbers are bs or not and if it's streetable or not. If you can't get all the specifics (ie cam, head numbers,valve size etc.) then go for the big block.
