That is the easy part, the hard part is then grinding the welded edge to a perfect straite edge because you can not use body filler in this area. Once I had it with in a bout 1/16" I turned to a hand file for the fine tunning. This is alot of work but if you want it to look correct than you just have to do it.

That's exactly what I did when I rounded the door corners on my '61. It is time consuming but well worth it! Nice work!
