Like i said.....why have two engines when the 5.7 did the job of both????? I guess its like, why offer a 283, 307 and a 350 all at the same time?

I have to agree with Joe, the 5.3 is plenty stought. My buddy has a 5.7 '99 model and mine will haul his bass boat just as good. Overdrive issues are taken care of by the tow-haul mode. Mine for now is stock and has plenty of power to lay out some nice long S marks down the highway.
