One of our neighbors bought one of these years ago (mid 70's) that had swallowed a valve. Remarkably, there was no damage to the cylinder wall. They replaced the piston and both valves in that cylinder and ran it for years until it finally spun a rod bearing. Slow as snot but didn't know what a load was.
