I use various microfiber towels, terry towels, and a California water blade when I'm cleaning and polishing. IN addition, several lightly abrasive brushes call my "tool box" home for use on the cast parts of the wheels, white lettering on the tires, and rear differential.
The products that stand out in my mind are the Zymol Liquid wax, and Simichrome Polishing Paste. Zymol is widely available and is some of the best "off the shelf" wax out there.
Simichrome is by far the best metal polish I have used. It's been around for years and is expensive as all hell, but it's dam good. After applying this and rubbing it in and out, I use a small amount of flour and a terry towel. This takes what little bit is left behind after intense rubbing and makes the end result so much better.
