Consider a smaller shop with good reputation or work you can check out. The guy doing my work advertises on craigslist. He's a very good welder and his body work has looked good so far. He's got an eye for design so he actually cares how it comes out. I saw some of his custom bikes/tanks and that sold me on his skills. Plus, his rates are about a fourth of standard shops. And if I help him, he cuts the rates in half again  Needless to say I am always over there working and helping. Both because I like to, I am learning, and It's cheaper  |
That's a pretty cool deal you fell into there. I would love to find someone like that!
But you are right, at least I do have my truck out of paint prison. It was a tough ordeal just to get him to give it back.
