I don't think it's really laying over on the top.. I use this equation and it's normally fairly close. The lower nummber is better suited for a truck being they tend to be high drag and big.

1/8 mile mph * 1.22-1.25..

So:
73mph * 1.22 = 89.06
73mph * 1.23 = 89.79
73mph * 1.24 = 90.52
73mph * 1.25 = 91.25
