I have some input for finding the center-line without having to install/remove the bed.

Just take a measurement from a bed mounting hole to the center of the rear inner wheel tub... transfer this measurement to the chassis using the corresponding bed mount's hole. You will have some room to adjust the bed fore and aft... but not more than 3/8" or so.
