no problem.
I think around 3:1 gearing would be an ok compromise.
I have 3.08:1 in my '80 with a TH350 and the highway RPM isn't too bad.
Unless you are going to make big power or run a big block the Th400 may be overkill. The TH400 takes more power to turn it than the TH350.
