That is the same hole I used for the temp sender. The original adapter I bought from S&P was a POS, so a fellow board member made me a couple that are the bomb:
With the POS adapter from S&P:
They work great! I had a small leak from the beginning, it seeped between the adapter and the sending unit, and it would drip onto the manifold. Not really a big problem, but man oh man burnt antifreeze stinks bad! So when I was finishing up the A/C I pulled the adapter out and used pipe dope between the sending unit and adapter, and between the adapter and the head. No leaks now!  |
Those adapters look great. Where can I get one? Are the stock gauges electrical or mechanical?
