I was considering doing something just like that. I have a bunch of square body gauges and some third gen Camaro gauges that I was going to cannibalize to do the swap.

I am playing around with putting the entire third gen Camaro cluster into the truck dash panel now. It won't look stock but I am going to make some gauge face overlays to make them look closer to the truck style when it is done.
