There's some nice looking engine compartments on this thread. Even the ones that aren't pretty are still cool because they RUN, which is more than say for mine right now.
Question: The guys running big blocks: Did you have any clearance issues with the passenger valve cover and the firewall? Did you have to move the engine forward? Any clearance issues with the heater box? I'm asking because I'm going to install my donor 454, and the firewall has the original paint that I would like to keep. I'd rather not have to modify the firewall if at all possible.
I'm going to be running the factory Chevrolet chrome valve covers, which are pretty low.
