I got my rear shackle mounts built this weekend. I got a little picture happy so bear with me

First I cut and squared 2 pieces of 1 1/2" sch 80 for the hangars. I laid them in a piece of angle iron to keep them straight, and welded a smaller piece of tube inside them to keep them there.

I cut two pieces of 3"x3"x1/4" for the mounts 6" long and bolted them on the frame. Then I tacked the tube with the shackle mounts up where it needed to go.

Then I started tacking the support braces on.

Once I got the 2 supports on and everything was stable, I was able to take the jig apart, and finish weld everything.

I think they turned out pretty good
